Popular Highlights
On Lanzarote, sip award-winning wines and learn how grapes are grown in volcanic soil / lunar landscapes.
Enjoy an overnight in Funchal, as your ship docks just a 10-minute walk from town. Ride a tobaggon down the streets, taste Madeira’s famous fortified wine and take in the lush green island landscape.
Explore Porto Santo, a small island that receives less than 10 cruise ship calls per year. Enjoy beautiful viewpoints and golden sandy beaches – Porto Santo is a favorite among Madeira locals for vacation.
In Santa Cruz de La Palma, take a star gazing excursion and join your expert guide as you learn how to use a telescope and enjoy clear views of the sky without light pollution.
Known for its rugged landscapes, volcanic terrain, and rich biodiversity, El Hierro is a small yacht exclusive and a haven for nature lovers and hikers.

Here in this privileged setting you'll discover two UNESCO World Heritage Site beaches of tantalizing beauty; San Cristóbal de La Laguna; and the island's symbol, Teide National Park. Wide avenues, exotic landscapes, and striking examples of modernist architecture complete one of the world's most popular destinations.

Nature is the star on this small volcanic island. Enjoy the afternoon on the beach or follow the island's famous wine trail, tasting as you go. This, the most northerly of the Canary Islands, welcomes you with laid-back hospitality and genuine warmth. This region of petrified lava makes up the National Park of Timanfaya and its Mountains of Fire, where visions of a lifeless, prehistoric earth, with enormous craters of an incandescent red color, can be seen on a bus or even a camel tour. This unique atmosphere has made it a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the most impressive natural parks in all of Spain.

Considered one of Portugal's main tourist attractions and home of world-famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, Funchal is known for its style and beauty. Visit Cabo Girao, the highest sea cliff in Europe or take a trip to the Pica da Torre for an incredible view of Camara de Lobos, a delightful fishing village. With a long history of Madeira winemaking, there'll be time here for a little wine tasting, a meal at one of the many 5-star restaurants, sightseeing to 15th century Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, shopping the bargains to be found here, or experiencing the vibrant night life.

PORTO SANTO, MADEIRA
Porto Santo, Island Horseback Riding
Porto Santo, Island Horseback Riding
Experience the natural beauty of Porto Santo from a new perspective on a guided horseback adventure through scenic island trails. After a short transfer to the Porto Santo Equestrian Center, you’ll be greeted by professional guides and matched with a well-trained horse suited to your experience level. Following a safety briefing, set out on a relaxing ride across volcanic landscapes, sandy paths, and open countryside, taking in peaceful views of the island’s hills and coastline. This slow-paced excursion offers an enjoyable and accessible way to connect with nature, ideal for both beginners and experienced riders alike. Please note: The tour includes horses and riding gear, a safety briefing, and an escort from the Equestrian Center; no prior riding experience is required.
Porto Santo, Hike Pico do Castelo
Porto Santo, Hike Pico do Castelo
Begin with a short transfer from the pier to the starting point of your hike at Pico do Castelo, one of Porto Santo’s most iconic peaks. The trail winds through reforested areas of pine and native vegetation, a striking contrast to the island’s naturally dry landscape. As you climb toward the 437-meter summit, enjoy sweeping views over the island’s coastline and inland valleys, with several scenic points perfect for photography along the way. Upon reaching the top, take in panoramic vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding terrain before descending along the same path. Following your hike, a short transfer will take you to Campo de Cima for a brief refreshment stop before returning to the pier. Tour itinerary may vary depending on local conditions.
Porto Santo, Porto Santo Island Tour
Porto Santo, Porto Santo Island Tour
Begin your panoramic exploration of Porto Santo with a visit to Portela Viewpoint, offering sweeping views of the golden sands and the town of Vila Baleira below. Continue to Pico do Castelo, one of the island’s highest volcanic peaks, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking island and ocean vistas before heading to the Cardina Museum in Camacha, an engaging private ethnographic collection featuring traditional tools, crafts, and detailed miniature models depicting the island’s rural heritage. The tour continues to Quinta das Palmeiras, a lush botanical garden and bird sanctuary that provides a refreshing oasis amid Porto Santo’s arid terrain, followed by a stop at Calheta, the island’s westernmost point, where views of Madeira may be visible on clear days. Conclude with a visit to the Christopher Columbus House Museum, believed to be the explorer’s former residence, to learn about his ties to the island before returning to the ship. Please note: Tour itinerary may operate in an alternative order; comfortable walking shoes and a jacket are recommended; visibility from scenic viewpoints depends on weather conditions; and local currency is advised as many vendors do not accept credit cards or U.S. dollars.

Though you won't find canaries here you will find people who can whistle like them. Whistled speech helped shepherds communicate across the steep ravines and in the lush cloud forest of Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Columbus paused here on all three voyages so you're in good company as you explore historic San Sebastián, but with all the natural beauty around, you'll find your gaze drawn inexorably up the terraced hillsides and across to views of Mount Teide.

You soon will realize how slow-paced San Sebastián feels, a world away from its neighbor island. In fact, today it is all about following the footsteps of Columbus while admiring the beauty and picturesque center of the town. Also, a short refreshment stop to breathe in the fresh air from land and enjoy local favorite food is included. After this perfect introductory excursion, you will return to the pier.
